History
The Asheboro Junior Women’s Club is dedicated to making a difference in our community and having fun while generating hands-on service projects and successful philanthropic events. The AJWC also promotes sociability among its members by having various social events throughout the year. We have a member appreciation social in June, a Luau in August, an ornament exchange each December, movie night, and meet for dinner out at local (or Greensboro) resturants which include bringing along our significiant other.
The Asheboro Junior Women’s Club was founded in 1976 and is a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. The GFWC is one of the world’s largest and oldest women’s volunteer organizations working locally in more than 6,500 clubs in the United States and globally in over 20 countries. GFWC members support the arts, preserve natural resources, promote education, encourage healthy lifestyles, and stress civic involvement.
